Her projects have received support from the Goethe Institute, NordiskKulturfond, Itaú Cultural, Galerie Wedding Berlin, Lake Studios Berlin, and CAMPUS PC, and have premiered at festivals and theaters in Europe and Latin America, such as Festival Cartografias (Forum Dança, Lisbon), Tanzmesse Dusseldorf, Festival Jóvenes Creadores (Montevideo), Festival TransIncorporados (MAR Museum, Rio de Janeiro), Movement Research Testplatz Wedding Berlin, among others. With a special interest in anthropology and sound art, Gabriela is driven by the desire to break with all kinds of symbolic, political, and biopolitical hierarchies, including the hierarchy between human x non-human, living x dead, nature x culture. Her works deal with the attempt to deconstruct the notion of agency, through the development of various technologies of body deformation and affection, understanding that at all times we are agents and acted upon by our environment. Every day she feels more and more like a transdisciplinary or undisciplined artist.
